Tajweed lil Huffaz: Advanced Tajweed for Huffaz-e-Quran:

A Hafiz carries something few others carry — the complete Quran, held in the heart, word by word. It’s an amanah, and like every amanah, it deserves to be honored not just by keeping it, but by reciting it the way it was revealed. Many Huffaz memorized under pressure, moving quickly from one Para to the next, and never got the chance to slow down and have their Tajweed refined properly. That’s exactly what Tajweed lil Huffaz is here for.

This course isn’t the beginner’s Tajweed path revisited — it’s a dedicated, advanced syllabus built specifically for those who’ve already completed Hifz, following the Wifaq ul Madaris curriculum: deeper Tajweed theory, Hadr and Tarteel practiced across the whole Quran, and the Sarf and Fiqh foundation every serious student of the Quran is expected to build. Classes are live and one-on-one, so your teacher works from where your recitation actually stands, not where a syllabus assumes it should be.

Who the Tajweed lil Huffaz Course Is For:

  • Huffaz-e-Quran  who have completed Hifz and want their Tajweed to match the strength of their memorization.
  • Huffaz leading Taraweeh or Salah** who want their recitation to be reliably correct, not just familiar.
  • Huffaz preparing for Saba Ashra Qirat** — Tajweed lil Huffaz is the required prerequisite for that advanced course.
  • Adults of any age; there’s no cutoff for refining Tajweed after Hifz.
  • Both brothers and sisters — a female teacher is available on request.

Every class is one-on-one over live video call, not a group setting, so the pace is set by your recitation, not by a classroom of students at different levels.

Tajweed lil Huffaz Syllabus: What You’ll Study After Hifz:

This course follows the Wifaq ul Madaris curriculum for Huffaz-e-Quran who have completed Hifz and want to move into advanced Tajweed:

  • Tajweed theory (Part 1)** — Khulasat-ut-Tajweed (by Qari Mohibuddin Ahmad Lucknawi), plus Fawaid Makkiyah for the study of Jami-ul-Waqf Ma’rifat-ul-Waqf (stopping rules).
  • Tajweed theory (Part 2)** — Jamal-ul-Quran, including Al-Muqaddimah Al-Jazariyyah with translation and memorization of its verses.
  • Hadr (fluent recitation)** — practiced across the first ten Paras, to build speed without losing accuracy.
  • Tarteel with practical Tajweed application** — Para 28, 29 and 30, applying every rule in live recitation rather than just in theory.
  • Basic Arabic Sarf (morphology)** — Parts 1 and 2, the grammar foundation every advanced student of the Quran is expected to carry.
  • Fiqh — Taleem-ul-Islam (final two parts) with an overview of Seerat-ur-Rasool ﷺ, rounding out the Wifaq-prescribed syllabus.

How Tajweed lil Huffaz Classes Work:

Your teacher listens to your recitation first, identifies exactly which rules and letters need correction, and builds the course around those specific gaps rather than starting from zero. Corrections happen live, in real time, the same way they would if you were reciting in front of a teacher in person.

On average, a consistent student completes the Tajweed lil Huffaz syllabus in around two years, though this varies depending on the student’s existing recitation level and consistency in attending classes. Over the course, this turns into a recitation you can trust whether you’re reciting privately, leading prayer, or eventually teaching others yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I’ve completed Hifz but was never formally taught Tajweed. Can I still join?

Yes. Many Huffaz are in exactly this position — Hifz was prioritized during memorization, and Tajweed correction came later or not at all. This course is built to meet you wherever your recitation currently stands.

Is this the same as your regular Tajweed course?

No. The regular Tajweed course is for beginners learning to read and recite the Quran for the first time. Tajweed lil Huffaz assumes you’ve already memorized the full Quran and is built around refining and advancing that existing recitation, following the Wifaq ul Madaris syllabus.

Do I need to complete this before Saba Ashra Qirat?

Yes, for Huffaz. Saba Ashra Qirat requires either completed Tajweed lil Huffaz (for Huffaz) or completed Tajweed lil-Ulama (for Alims) as a prerequisite.
